Posts: 1482 Aug 21 11 9:56 PM	Tags : None I have a dump question. Do you think it is good when at the end of the PTSD C&P the Dr. told me husband that he did good? Does that mean he has PTSD or he does not? I am sure he has it but it does not matter what I think.

Did you request a copy of the exam from the ROI office? Posts: 1482 Aug 22 11 4:42 PM	Thanks. That is what I thought but just wanted a second opinion. We will get a copy of the exam when we go in next Monday. He has another appt with the Neuro Dr next Monday. The same one that wrote the bad report a couple of months ago. This should be very interesting.

Posts: 1482 Oct 21 11 9:58 PM	We still do not know what his rating will be. It was because of the C&P that he his going to get IU per the rep at the regional office. His claim is now with the raters and we are just waiting to for the NOD to be done. What that rep said was that He would get IU for PTSD but would need to drop the NOD. The NOD was for IU for PN.

Posts: 1482 Oct 23 11 5:29 PM	Husband did not want to get a copy of the C&P. I think because he did not want me to see what he said during the exam. It is like he does not want me to know what all happened when he was in Vietnam. That is why this site has helped me a lot to understand where he is coming from. For so many years I did not understand why he did not want to go to events or do a lot of things. Now I know it was not me. It was his PTSD.

Posts: 1482 Oct 24 11 5:43 PM	That is why I like this forum. A lot of us have a lot in common and it helps a lot to understand the va process and our husbands. Gunny, Mr. CeJe put in for IU in 2010 but it was for PN. That is what was making it impossible for him to work. The VA denied his claim for IU. They raised his disablilty to 80% but denied the IU. He started to see the Mental health Dr this last summer and that is when he added PTSD or Depression to the claim. That is the first time that he ever was seen by the VA Dr's for PTSD. What happened next was we got a call last month from the Reg Office and they said that they were approving IU for PTSD but they need him to change the date on the NOD from 2010 to 2011. He did this but we are still waiting for the paper work and the money. He called the person at the Reg Office two weeks ago and was told that the claim was at the raters. So, from what we understand it is approved for IU but we don't know what the rating will be or if it will be perm. Edited 1 time by ceje Oct 24 11 5:53 PM.
